Courteney Palm

Hi my name is Courteney Palm. I completed my Honours degree in Psychology in 2020 and am currently a specialist wellness counselling student with Humanitas with christian beliefs. I believe that every person has the potential to help themselves within themselves, all they need is guidance and I am here to be that guide. After completing my degrees i worked as an aupair for a little boy with autism where i lived with the family. It is here that I developed a true passion for family counselling and an interest in marriage counselling. Why family therapy? Because family therapy deals with family pain, and all of us are part of some sort of family; be it a work family, or a school family, or even a friend family. I also believe in being rather than doing for the client, I am not here to pretend to know what you are going through but I can be an ear to listen and a hand to hold through the pain. Being with our pain allows us to work through it and not dwell within it.
