Myko Rizzo

Hello

My name is Myko Rizzo. I am a humanitas counselling intern who is looking to help people within various aspects of their life. I am a Christian and enjoy living a healthy lifestyle. I am passionate about health within the physical world such as going to gym and staying active but also within the mental and spiritual world.

I wanted to become a clinical psychologist but when I had learnt that it entailed more along the lines of diagnosing and not always treatment, I chose the course in counselling which aims to provide long-term healing through coping strategies, grounding strategies, breathing activites and so much more.

I am really passionate about helping people to understand not just their bodies but their minds and helping provide them with strategies that can work for them in their lives to not always change their situation, but rather their outlook. Helping people to feel heard and understood and where I can, educating on the normal aspects of areas such as trauma, loss and grief, day-to-day struggles and so on.

I like to take a humanistic approach which is focused on the individual and provide them with a holistic point of view which helps them to understand their physical, social, psychological and spiritual needs as I believe that through these four areas being fulfilled, will allow for a healthier, happier and far more functional life and way of thinking. 

I would love to help with whatever area of your life is difficult right now and just be there to listen and understand without judgement and with confidentiality.
