Calling a therapist or a counsellor can, at times, be intimidating. But I hope you can take a moment to a deep breath to call and see how I can help. As a mental health counselor, I feel it is essential to create a safe space for my clients that is non-judgemental, empathic and most importantly, confidential. I find such a therapeutic space necessary because it creates an opportunity to explore more about yourself, which supports creating an aim to begin a journey of self-discovery and change. I have aspired to be a mental health professional, and I have therefore spent countless hours on research and training to develop my skills.
My qualifications include a BA, Honours and MA degree, majoring in psychology, and I consummated a higher qualification in Counseling and Communication Skills. I am a certified TRE® Practitioner, specialising in the neurophysiology effects of stress and trauma. I am a volunteer mental health counsellor at different non-governmental and non-profit organisations. I am particularly interested in trauma, abuse and crisis counselling. I further specialise in relationship and marriage counselling and grief therapy. In addition to working with clients, I am committed to completing my master's in psychology and furthering a master's in social work with a particular interest in community mental health promotion. I am determined to advance my psychology and counselling skills through professional training, workshops and specialised programs.
It will be an absolute honour to work with you to achieve whatever solutions and life change you are looking for. Life is too short of surrendering to bad relationships, hold grudges, letting trauma control you, or being anxious or angry all the time. You can experience yourself in new ways.
