Chaska Concar-Tavares

Good day, my name's Chaska Concar-Tavares. I was born and raised in Cape Town, with a love both for the city and its people. I gained my initial interest in psychology during high school, as I began to see the state of mental health services across the country as a real tradegy. This became something I could help with, changing people's lives with a chance to learn more about a topic that I already had a great interest in. From there I studied psychology at the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP), gaining my honours in psychology just last year in 2022. I am currently aiming for my clinical master's, whilst I work through various platforms as a private counsellor and seek further employment.

I feel comfortable counselling for all manner of topics, as long as you are respectful and willing to overcome barriers together, I believe we can have a helpful and healthy counselling process. However I do have a studied focus in the clinical side of things as well as men's issues. 

Beyond that I hold a strong believe in the power, strength and ability of the individual person. With the right guidance, aid and value's any person can do amazing things or work to create wonders. Even if they are smaller in nature than others, the impact of an individual is never to be underestimated. As the exceptional individual can be found in alot of us.
