Hi there,
I am Andréa Nicholenas, a dedicated counselor and researcher with a Master of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience. My approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration, aiming to create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences freely. Drawing from my background in neuroscience, I integrate evidence-based practices with a person-centered approach to tailor interventions that address each client's unique needs and goals. Whether individuals are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship issues, I offer compassionate support, empowering clients to gain insight, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience.
In addition to individual counselling, I facilitate wellness workshops and group therapy sessions focused on stress management, mindfulness, self-care, and interpersonal skills. These sessions provide a supportive environment for participants to learn from each other, share experiences, and cultivate a sense of community. With specialised training in trauma-informed care and gender-based violence counselling, I offer sensitive support to survivors, prioritising their safety, empowerment, and healing. I am deeply passionate about fostering a holistic approach to gender-based violence intervention, recognising the importance of addressing the root causes and societal cycles perpetuating such violence. In this light, I believe in extending therapeutic support to offenders as well, acknowledging their need for intervention and healing to break the unhealthy patterns contributing to this issue. By approaching gender-based violence with compassion and understanding for all involved, I am committed to contributing to a safer and more empathetic society where healing and transformation are possible for both survivors and perpetrators alike. As a counsellor and researcher dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being, I integrate the latest findings from psychology and neuroscience into my practice, ensuring that clients receive the most effective and up-to-date care possible. Whether seeking personal growth, navigating life transitions, or healing from past trauma, I am here to accompany clients on their journey towards greater resilience, empowerment, and fulfilment.
