Gayle Dicey

Hello, my name is Gayle. I am married and have 3 children 27, 25 and 24. I studied B Home Economics when I finished school and worked in various professions viz Banking, NGO, a Centre in Khayelitsha, which rehabilitated malnourished children, as well some other organizations that worked with women particularly. I also did some teaching to adults at a night school. As well as some teaching at a high school.

I then became a stay-at-home mom, and 7 years ago, I decided to study a B. Psychology through UNISA, as I was very interested in human behaviour and helping people who had experienced trauma in their lives.

I am currently a graduate Specialist Wellness Councillor, in the Boland area, Western Cape and have a particular interest in Grief and Loss, as well as Trauma Counseling. As well as mediation within family relationships and conflict. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. I have had a lot of experience in my capacity (family and friends) and would like to now use this to help people in need in my community.
