Meryl Lawrence

My name is Meryl Lawrence. I have an Honours degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Education. Intrigued by the mental and emotional wellbeing of people, I left the schooling system to pursue a career in psychology. After aquiring my Honours degree in Psychology, I volunteered for a year at the North Durban Victim Support Team as a Trauma debriefer and short term Counsellor and I also did a Lay Counselling training course at The Open Door Crisis Care Centre. 

At present, I have completed the Humanitas Counselling Course and am ready to start a practical internship under their supervision. My interest is to work with clients of all ages,by assisting them to face their challenges,to recognise their strengths and to work with them to change or enhance their mental and emotional wellbeing.
