Natasha Bonow

Hello, my name is Natasha Bonow.  I am a Specialist Wellness Counsellor in private practice.  My passion is to come alongside children, teenagers and adults as they journey through the up’s and down’s of life.  My approach is gentle and done by respecting each person’s unique story and experience.  While counselling may not eliminate the problems one experiences, my goal is to assist people in finding more helpful ways of coping with the challenges they face, and in so doing, improving overall well-being. 

My scope of practice includes: working with the child client, an understanding of attachment and childhood development, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, crisis management, trauma, experiences of loss and grief as well as addiction and substance abuse. 

My training includes: Bachelor of Theology (Honours), training in Biblical Counselling, Advanced Certificate in Christian Counselling, Certificate in Introduction and Advanced Pastoral Narrative Therapy.  I have also completed Play Based Intervention training, and supervised practical, as well as further counselling training and practical experience through the Humanitas Training Centre.  I have been involved with children, teenagers and young adults in a variety of settings since 2005.       

I am accredited through the ASCHP (The Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners).

You are welcome to reach out regarding counselling sessions.  I am available for in-person sessions in Benoni, and I also offer online sessions.  It would be my priviledge to come along side you and support you on a journey to hope and emotional healing.
