Humanitas Campus Counsellor
Darren Terblanche
Hello! My name is Darren J. Terblanche – I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this short
biography.
As a dedicated and compassionate counsellor, I bring a wealth of experience and insight to support
individuals on their journey toward healing and growth. With a strong foundation in mental health,
family dynamics, addiction & recovery, trauma, anxiety, general life challenges, and more. I have
worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate life’s challenges with
confidence & resilience, grounded in foundational competence through education and 8 years of
experience in the primary healthcare field.
My approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and a deep understanding of human behavior. I
believe that every individual possesses the strength and potential to overcome obstacles, and my
role is to guide and empower them to uncover their own path to well-being. By fostering a safe and
non-judgmental space, I ensure that clients feel heard, valued, and supported throughout their
journey.
I hold a Psychology degree in the vein of Health Science & Social Services – and have almost
completed my postgraduate degree in Psychological Counselling. I stay committed to ongoing
professional development to provide the most effective and evidence-based practices – a testament
to this is that I hold over 30 certifications and licenses across diverse fields. My passion for helping
others is matched by my dedication to understanding their unique needs and tailoring my approach
to suit each individual.
Whether you’re seeking support for specific issues such as anxiety, relationship challenges, personal
growth, or simply need a compassionate ear, I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
Together, we can work toward creating a life of balance, clarity, and fulfillment.
