Marilize Howell – Lecturer/ NBI Brain practitioner

Hi, I am Marilize. After graduating with a Hons in Psychology, I started with my Masters degree in Family Psychology. I am a lecturer on the Humanitas team. The courses that I am involved in includes Working with Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse, Loss & Grief, Group Work and Self Care.

I am also in private practice. I’m passionate about supporting individuals on their journey of personal growth, both emotionally and spiritually. I believe the most helpful counselling relationship is a collaborative one. I specialise in working with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, loss and grief, premarital and marriage counselling, interpersonal and social relationships, lack of purpose, finding your true identity, dealing with everyday life, and management of anxiety and depression. I provide a non-judgmental and convenient space for my clients and help them untangle and find themselves again.

I’m honored to walk alongside individuals and couples as they navigate their unique journeys, seeking to understand themselves and their relationships more deeply. We foster self-discovery and growth by exploring emotions, experiences, and dreams. This process helps clients find balance, resilience, and meaning in their lives and relationships.

We are excited to go on this journey with you! Take a leap of faith and start your counselling journey today!
