Simone Robinson – Lecturer/ Intern Supervisor

Hi, I am Simone but everyone calls me Sim! I am a fast talking social worker super passionate about meeting people where they are and helping them to take on life’s great adventures! After graduating with a Bachelor of Social Work, I got my start in social work, working within court processes and managing big family transitions. Today, I help children manage their big feelings, caregivers meet children where they are and professionals work with children in a more child-friendly way. I started working at a child protection organisation doing statutory work before moving to an NGO where I worked therapeutically with children who had experienced trauma and abuse. I then completed a Master’s Degree in Social Work where I was given the opportunity to guest lecture at Stellenbosch University and open my own practice.

I currently offer play therapy sessions for children aged 3 to 12 years old. 1-on-1 coaching and consulting services with parents, and I work to share educational and inspiring content with professionals in the form of courses and supervision. All while I complete my PhD in Social Work and continue lecturing and supervising future professionals.

I am so incredibly proud you are willing to take a step towards your goal, whether that’s navigating a change, working to support the people in your life better or to take on life’s personal and professional adventures! I’m ready to meet you where you are…
